The goal of this convening is to identify projects, programs, tools, and initiatives that philanthropy could fund to address the root causes and mitigate the effectiveness of violent political activism targeting U.S. elections.

Looking toward future election cycles, we aim to address the following questions:

1. What solutions exist or need to be created to help us better predict and prevent instances of political violence?

2. What is being built or could be built to accomplish longer-term change that:

1. Addresses the root causes that promote election-related violence? 

2. Reduces acceptance of political violence?

3. In the nearer term (next 1-2 years): How do we leverage existing strategies, tools and resources, and integrate into civic engagement, voter protection and public awareness campaigns?
